John Moore of Ipswich

Originally a decorator and then self taught John Moore of Ipswich emerged as a celebrated painter of seascapes, though he occasionaly painted landscapes too. Moore particularly liked to paint the sea when broiling and furious and it would appear the rougher the sea the more coveted the seascape.
