Elizabeth Martland De Alwis studied at the Ipswich College of Art and at Brighton University. She taught art for almost a decade in the Bahamas where she developed her very unique and bold use of colour.
Elizabeth’s brushstrokes, subtlety, and aptitude for sky and cloud painting place her firmly within the very best traditions of East Anglian painting.
In addition to her commercial work as a contemporary artist Elizabeth also teaches from her studio in Boxford. Elizabeth is living proof that Suffolk continues to inspire and produce outstanding painters who produce exhilarating contemporary work.
